LITTLE-KNOWN AREAS OF KWANGSI PROVINCE in South China Will Be Explored this Summer by the National Geographic Society and Lingnan University Ex pedition of Scientists. In the Kwangsi Hinterland Are Both People and Plants Little Known to the Out side World... Studying and Recording Them Will Be the Expedition's Main Objective. UNDER joint auspices of your Society and Lingnan University, of Canton, China, a scientific expedition will penetrate into semi tropical Kwangsi Province, there to study its aboriginal tribes, mysterious plants, geological formations, and the significance of the region as a transition zone between the Malayan tropics and the highlands of Tibet. * The written and photographic record of observations and results of the expedition, led by Dr. G. Weidman Groff, will come to members of The Society through their NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE. You, as a member, are a direct sponsor and a beneficiary of such researches to increase geo graphic knowledge.
