After slicing lemons, oranges, and pomegranates thinly to allow light to pass through, she arranged them on a sheet of Plexiglas, then pointed her camera downward. Hideyuki Katagiri Kasukabe, Japan Katagiri went to the Omiya train station in Saitama, Japan, to capture the types of emotions—joy, hope, sorrow—that are visible on travelers’ faces. As one particularly popular train painted with stripes began to leave the station, Katagiri caught a quiet moment of a conductor at work.
