"The priceless treasure of boyhood is his endless enthusiasm, his high store of idealism, his affection and his hopes. When we preserve these, we have made men. We have made citizens, and we have made Americans." When the roots go deep, the tree grows straight "A boy," Mr. Hoover once said, "is a complete self-starter, and therefore wisdom in dealingwith him consists most in what to do with him next." But wherever there is a Boys' Club, that's no problem. Under the guidance of dedicated men, there is always something for a boy to do ... some interesting activity to catch his imagination and lift his eyes to the opportunities of a greater America. And, in this age of greater leisure, many American families (prodded by a boy's insistence) seek something to do next. And that's no problem either, with 150 wonderful National Forests to explore and enjoy. In natural wonderlands like Allegheny National Forest, there are thousands of things to do. There are scores of woodland trails... 300 miles of clear trout streams... abundant game... delightful campsites... and, at "Heart's Content," one of the world's finest stands of white pine no axe has ever touched. All these are for all Americans to enjoy; but boys, being boys, enjoy them most. And through understanding of Nature's ways, their own roots will go deeper. They will stand straighter, and be better men for it ... men who can and will make ours a stronger nation, in a better world. ** * FREE TOUR INFORMATION If you would like to drive to Allegheny National Forest, or any other of our parks or forests, write Tour Bureau, Sinclair Oil Building, 600 Fifth Avenue, New York 20, N.
