Black squares indicate spaces already reserved. Here, pushing the button represent ing her choice-seat 6-C-a passenger inserts a credit card, and out pops a ticket. Similar devices will speed traffic in San Francisco's Bay Area Rapid Transit system when it opens in 322 1972, and soon could become common in ticket offices and major airports across the continent.
