The HYLA FABER WHILE MOST FROGS are able to lay thousands of eggs at a time, the Hyla faber can lay only a very few. The Hyla faber has overcome this disadvantage in a very ingenious way. Instead of laying her eggs where many of them would certainly be eaten by fish and insects as other frogs do, she builds a strong corral of mud on the bank of the pond, and deposits her few precious eggs within this protective wall. There the tadpoles grow, quite safe from enemies, until they are strong and quick enough to take care of themselves in deep water. Like the Hyla faber, most men realize that precious things must be guarded and watched over carefully. For instance, your home, your car, and your income, are possessions around which it is well to erect a strong protecting wall. One of the best ways for you to do this is to have insur ance. If you are careful to guard them behind this strong wall, sudden disaster can never take them away from you. Like many men, you may feel that your posses sions are well guarded. But experience has shown that a single vulnerable point, left unprotected, can sometimes result in the loss of a man's home, his savings, and his good name.
