Gas Rationing May Bring the Dalmatian Back into His Own as aCoach Dog Most readily identified of all breeds because of the black or liver-colored spots on a white coat, the Dalmatian has been kept singularly pure inblood. Cloudiness or absence of distinct markings may point to an alien strain. In the days of the carriage, these dogs accompanied horses, especially nervous ones, togive them confi dence and keep them from shying. They also may be trained for hunting.
