Cyclists Push Their Bikes up a Historic Slope-First Main Street of Plymouth and New England Pilgrims laid the first street from the harbor to Fort Hill and called it The Street. It became successively First, Great, Broad, and finally Leyden Street. Narrow house lots ran from The Street south (right) to Town Brook.
