Robert Moore NOMADS OF THE TIMBERLAND, KAWS ENJOY A CAREFREE LIFE Like their fellow hill people, these tribesmen are agricultural "birds of passage." They clear a forest tract, grow one or two crops on it, and then move on to virgin ground. The man on the left has a native-made gun, the other a crossbow. Both men and women are inveterate pipe smokers.
