A FAMOUS TRIO OF THE BERNESE ALPS From left to right, Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau pierce the clouds with their snowy summits. The last named isone ofthe best-known peaks inthe world, rising to a height of more than 13,6oo feet. It is conveniently approached from Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen, both ofwhich areconnected with the rack railway which makes the ascent. This railway, which is electric, is the highest in Europe.
