Late inSeptember they descend with the animals to the valleys again. Then the cattle fairs are held in various villages. That of September 27, atAndorra laVella, isthe most impor tant, for then the Spanish animals, especially sheep, start from the mountains on their homeward trek (see illustration, page 497).
