Photograph by Miriam O'Brien Underhill THE ORDINARY ROUTE UP THE JUNGFRAU IS JUST A WALK UP STEEP SNOW AND ICE! Starting from the middle of the bottom edge of the picture, the line of footsteps can be plainly seen running diagonally upward tothe Rottalsattel, asaddle be tween the Jungfrau (right) and the Rottalhorn (center). From there the route scales the final slope of the Jungfrau. The black specks inthecenter and on the track (about an inch and a half from the bottom) are four climbers. The Aletschhorn looms on the far left.
