'Isex ~Sar4 _ _ OM LAKSHMI NAMAH...! In the Hindu mythology, Lakshmi is the god dess of good luck. The pious Hindu frequently invokes this deity in the following words: "Om Lakshmi namah" S. . Homage to Lakshmi, goddess of fortune. Then he goes about his business, hoping this invocation will win favor and protect him from adversity. Yet it is not recorded that chance is any kindlier in India than elsewhere. In America, invocations to luck-knocking on wood for instance-have generally proved no more successful. But many a man is wise enough not to put all his faith in the fickle goddess. He makes certain that, even if luck deserts him, he has a never-failing aid. That aid is accident insurance. Insurance is not a charm that prevents accidents from happening, but it can prevent the financial consequences. An adequate accident policy covers all hospital and doctor bills, and provides an in come until earning power is restored. And accidents can happen anywhere. The victim may find himself many hundreds of miles from home and friends. So sound accident insurance must include quick, continent-wide service.
