Since 1715 the fete's climax has been the wedding of Goliath, carrying club(center), toMrs. Goliath (wearing orange blossoms). At the right is Samson, with broken column and jawbone. The crowned "Town of Ath," andthe grinning Ambiorix complete the cortege.
