Crumbs of flour and brown sugar, over amolasses base, went into the filling for the traditional Pennsylvania Dutch pie. Cherries and peaches, put up in summer months, came from astoreroom inthecellar where hundreds of tightly capped jars filled with preserved fruits and vegetables are massed. Never is the larder empty in this Lancaster County farmhouse.
