Each of the large rooms is finished with a different wood. Panels once decorated thewalls ofaChinese temple in Peiping. The interior of the home to the right is equally amazing for its interior walls of redwood burl ofmany fantastic designs. Members ofthepioneer Carson family here in Eureka still occupy the "Castle." Layers of lumber piled for drying are separated from otherlayers by"stickers" togive ventilation.
