Even trash cans are shaped like ships' ventilators, broom squads dress as sailors, and knobs on drinking fountains are patterned after steering wheels. This vast playground is kept scrupulously clean, tons of trash being daily swept up and carted away. To keep sand from blowing, adjacent open spaces have been planted with marsh grass.
