The view is taken from the upper never or snow field on the Fiescherhorn, itself only IoI feet lower atitshighest point. Grindelwald has become a favorite tourist center, and from it can be seen to best advantage three other famous peaks ofthe Bernese Oberland-the Eiger (13,042 feet), Wetterhorn (12,166 feet), and Mettenberg (10,194 feet). The village is now not only a summer resort, but italso attracts alarge number of visitors, who go there for winter sports.
