AMANOBO WOMAN The Manobos are believed tonumber about 60,000 people of whom some 2,000 are civilized. The latterare found inthe province ofDavao and most ofthem are Christians. They are theresult ofthe activity ofthe Jesuits, who, inthe last years of the Spanish'rule, formed settlements for their converts and taught them how to till the soil.
