An English tourist, seeking localcolor for astory ofthe country and people, met an old man like the figure above, on the highroad one day. "Good-day, Pat," said the Englishman, "what race ofkings do you spring from?" To which Pat replied without a moment's hesitation, "We don't spring from, Your Honor; we spring at 'em."
