"Mallee" is an evergreen shrub which grows as ashort-stemmed bush in five or six shoots from one stump and reaches an average height of 12 to 20 feet. The trunkisseldom much thicker than aman's wrist, and it can hardly be called a tree, but it spreads with extraordinary closeness.
