The United States Bureau of Education of the Department of the Interior, which has accomplished wonders in coordinating the educational activities of the nation, has under taken to establish night schools in every industrial center as one of the processes of Americanizing these people. Other nations frequently com pel their nationals to learn the official language and place bans on alien tongues. But America is going about the task in kindlier spirit and its efforts are being appreciated. The picture shows the school of a big industrial concern in session; the teachers at the blackboards are foreigners who can talk in both their native and their adopted tongues.
