THE SAUROLOPHUS SKELETON UNCOVERED AND READY TO BE ENCASED IN PLASTER AND BOXED, PREPARATORY TO ITS LONG JOURNEY TO THE MUSEUM The skull at the lower end of the picture is still surrounded by ripple-marked sandstone; the tail extends under the man. It was covered over by four feet of clay and a few spines of the vertebrae were sticking out of the bank, giving us a clue to its location. 418
