PHO T O J URNAL CHRISTOPHER MORRIS The enormous blue curtain bisecting this Pontiac, Michigan, stadium had a dual purpose during an October 2004 campaign rally. It protected the President as his motorcade, at left, entered-and it made the place appear packed with people for cameras covering the event. I was removed from this spot after getting this one frame. As President Bush addressed troops at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, in June 2004, temperatures inside the aircraft hangar topped 100°F. This agent was dripping in sweat. If you look closely, just over his shoulder, you can see the President on stage, standing at the lectern.
