Professor Angelo Heilprin, President of the Philadelphia Geographical Club, gave an illustrated lecture, entitled "Across the Atlas Mountains and into the Sahara." Special Reception, April 2, 1898.-A Special Reception in honor of Capt. Charles D. Sigsbee, U. S. N ., was held at the Arlington Hotel from 9 to 11 p. m. About 1,500 members and guests of the Society were present, including the President of the United States, the Vice-President, members of the Cabinet, Diplomatic Corps, and officers of the Army and Navy.
