Show Boat Sails Beneath a Tent at the Neptune Music Circus In the summer of 1949 a striped tent rose on a hill near Lambertville. A few nights later the strains of Lehar's "Merry Widow Waltz" drifted across the Delaware Valley. Thus impresario St. John Terrell opened his first music circus.
