Black shorts, white stockings, embroidered belts, short jackets, and either very broad brimmed hats or a headgear similar tothe"overseas cap" with no brim at all, come near to being standard apparel for dress occasions. The color of jacket and hatband sometimes serves todistinguish the people of a particular village, but green is a general favorite for trimmings. Tyrolese take pride intheir folk costumes and arebringing their children up to wear and appreciate them.
