Inablinding storm aguide insisted theparty had reached the main summit. Outram, doubting, shouted into the dense cloud banks and, hearing an echo, decidedahigher peak rose above them. The climbers retreated and in better weather the next day toiled to triumph. The region is a focal point of an extensive skiing country.
