NOT A "RIGHT AND LEFT," BUT A "RIGHT AND WRONG" We had followed a herd of a dozen elephants from morning till midday, when we came up with themasthey were enjoying their siesta. There were several young bulls, any one of which would meet our requirements. One was chosen and we,Mrs. Akeley and I,agreed toshoot together to make certain of dropping him where he stood, in the shade of the tree, that we might be protected from thesun while preparing the skin; at the signal we fired and two elephants fell in their tracks.
