Photograph byHiram Bingham INDIANS DANCING IN THE OLD INCA PLAZA AT OLIANTAYTAMBO This group was composed of six men dressed as usual, except that they wore black shoes, whitestockings, colored paper streamers attached to their clothing, and hideous masks on their faces. Their dance, performed to music furnished by aflute and bass and snare drums, was ashuffle. At its close one of them pretended to be dead.
