Samuel Al.Zwemer THE VALLEY OF MINA DURING THE SEASON OF PILGRIMAGE in this narrow valley two or three hours' journey frm Mecca, take place some of the most important pilgrim ceremonials oftheMoslem ritual. Here on the "day of sacrifice" the pilgrim slays a lamb or a kid or some other animal and makes asacrificial meal. After this ceremony Mina becomes a trade mart, resembling a great international fair, conducted by merchants from every quartet oftheMohammedan world.
