Stanley, 16,815 feet in height, is the loftiest summit of the Ruwenzori Range, a mountain mass65miles long and 30broad, between Lake Albert and Lake Albert Edward. The pinnacle, named in honor of Queen Margherita of Italy, was first climbed bythe Duke ofthe Abruzzi. Cavaliere Vittoria Sella, the distinguished Alpine photographer, accompanied the expedition and obtained these wonderful pictures.
