B.Wilse THE SNOWY PEAK OF THE GLITTERTIND The Jotunheim, a mountainous region of southern Norway, has an area of 950 square miles and contains some ofthe highest mountains inthe Scandinavian Peninsula. The Glittertind, 8,380 feet, is the second highest in this region. The term Jotunheim (Giants' Home) isareminder ofthe mountain-dwelling giants of Norse fables.
