(Scaleless Veiltail Telescope) © (Celestial Telescope) (Old Style Scaleless Telescope) Painted by Hashime Murayama A FISH THAT DEVELOPED A DIAPHANOUS GARB The so-called "scaleless" goldfish have scales which are transparent. Their coloring runs the gamut of adebutante's wardrobe-from adeep, rich red to blue, purple, lavender and fantastic combinations that suggest ultramodish calico prints. The term "Telescope" also ismisleading. The eyes are not farsighted; they are extremely shortsighted. Frequently these fish injure or blind their protruding, myopic eyes byswimming against hard objects.
