These included bowls, baskets of food, smoking material, jewelry, and orna ments, weapons, and agricultural implements. BUFFALO DANCERS Animals and animal spirits play alarge part intheceremonial life of the American Indian. To buffalo, bear, wolf, antelope, and various birds and serpents supernatural powers areascribed and intheir honor dances and other ceremonies are performed.
