Yet under the microscope they may be seen to capture other creatures and to eat and grow and to live the life of typical animals. But they, too, are food for other and larger animals, and their skeletons are thickly strewn over the ocean floor in some parts of the world. The species are: 1, Aulosphaera elegantissima; 2, Heliosphaerainermis; 3, Thalassicolapelagica ; 4, Coelodendrum gracilli mum; 5, Eucyrtidium craniodes, and 6, Amphilonche messanensis.
