The bridge is1,456 feet long and has seven spans of from 83 to 208 feet. Through the nearest span may be seen Analostan Island, and themiddle arch reveals abitofthe Virginia shore. In the foreground is the Potomac Boat Club, off which the water is nearly 40 feet deep.
