UNSPOILED CYPRUS SECLUSION WALKS THE WAYS OF BELLA PAISE'S CLOISTERS Robbers have torn off much of the tracery of the 18 arches, but time and decay have tinted the graceful fragments with exquisite hues. Previous to the World War the roofs of the cloisters and refectory (see page 24) were repaired. PLOWING IN THE SHADOW OF THE ANCIENT PAST Little is known of the origin of the rock-hewn chapel of Ay. Evlambios, at Lambousa. It is the center of a quarry, which has been worked down to the chapel floor, leaving it de tached as a monolithic mass. The walls are more than three feet thick and pierced on all sides with tomb receptacles.
