WHEN THE KASHMIR SHAWL WENT OUT OF FASHION, THE KASHMIR CARPET TOOK ITS PLACE The finished rug of excellent quality and design has just been taken from the loom. Almost the entire output ofthis concern goes toaChicago store. In Kashmir the dyes are good, and the finest wool is obtainable, much of the pashm (the soft underwool ofthe Tibetan goat) formerly used for shawls now being used as a basis for the best grades of carpets. Many of the old shawl weavers now exercise their skill upon these newer products.
