106 2010 SHERBOURNE COMMON TORONTO, ONTARIO A wedding party poses for photographs at the zinc-clad Pavilion. The park offers green space on the densely developed Lake Ontario waterfront and a skating rink that doubles as a splash pad. In the Pavilion’s basement an ultraviolet system treats storm water and then sends it flowing through dramatic sculptures into the lake. The park’s design has won praise for its clean look—and some criticism for its perceived sterility.
